Catherine had the unique opportunity to combine two diverse careers into one specialty, particularly when working in the field of health care law. Catherine Larson is a Nurse Attorney who has successfully combined her careers. She began her professional life as a registered nurse, primarily working in the fields of burn trauma and critical care. With a desire to rise to new heights, she complete law school with a plan to practice in the field of health care law. She has been practicing law now for over twenty years, having successfully transitioned from health care provider to health care advocate.
Catherine is a member of several health care organizations. She has successfully defended healthcare providers in a variety of settings, from licensing and disciplinary actions to policy and compliance issues and malpractice suits. Her expertise allows her to provide a service to her clients that encompasses a level of confidence and expertise not only in the law, but in by brining to the table her vast nursing and medical knowledge. She has the advantage of using her nursing expertise on a daily basis in talking to clients and medical experts, reviewing documents, or preparing for depositions and trial. She has been successful in bringing her expertise to the courtroom where she has been able to convey complex medical issues into understandable concepts and terms. This has proved successful as she has obtained several defense verdicts. She understands the demands of health care professionals, the problems and stressors that they face and the knowledge that she can offer to resolve their legal issues in the most efficient and satisfactory manner possible.
