Brandon is originally from Birmingham, Alabama.  After obtaining a U.S. Air Force R.O.T.C. scholarship, he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Alabama while simultaneously training to become a military officer.  Upon graduation and receipt of his commission, Brandon attended the U.S.A.F. Intelligence Officer Course before being assigned to the 388th Fighter Wing at Hill Air Force Base, Utah.  After completing several deployments with the 34th Fighter Squadron (F-16s), including service in Iraq, Brandon separated from active-duty as a Captain with an honorable discharge in 2009.  Following military service, Brandon spent three years as a middle school teacher and purchasing manager for Challenger Schools, Inc., a multi-state private school system based in Salt Lake City, before beginning law school at Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon in 2012.

While attending law school, Brandon studied a broad range of legal disciplines while also earning a certificate of specialization in criminal law & procedure. In his second-year, Brandon combined his educational experience with his legal training to assist the Classroom Law Project, a Portland-based non-profit, with providing civics education programs for Oregon students.  In his third-year, Brandon served as a certified misdemeanor law clerk with the Clackamas County District Attorney’s Office in Oregon City, Oregon, where he managed his own criminal caseload from intake to final disposition, whether by plea, dismissal, or trial.

Before joining Strong & Hanni, Brandon’s initial two years’ of practice were with White and Steele, P.C., an insurance defense firm in Denver, Colorado, where he gained invaluable experience in all stages of the civil litigation process, primarily in personal injury, trucking, premises liability, and wildfire cases.

In his free time, Brandon enjoys the outdoors with his wife, Vesna, and her family, primarily hiking the Wasatch front, fly-fishing the Provo River, snowboarding in Park City, or boating at Flaming Gorge.
