Sports and Entertainment Law
I am an experienced trial lawyer who provides litigation and transactional services related to real property, construction, insurance defense, personal injury, workers’ compensation, and sports and entertainment law. During my time as an attorney I have had substantial experience defending a variety of clients in a wide range of cases involving complex liability and damage issues in both state and federal court. I regularly litigate cases involving catastrophic personal injury, multi-faceted construction defects, automobile and premises liability, and workers’ compensation.
I believe that a good attorney fulfills two vital roles: problem solver and counselor. Using my philosophy of firm, fair, and friendly, I work hard to understand each client’s unique business and personal needs and then strongly advocate their causes to an efficient and effective resolution. Along the way, I provide advice and counsel based on the unique needs of each case and client.
I received my undergraduate degree in History from Brigham Young University. Prior to attending law school, I worked as a high school special education teacher and basketball coach. During this time, I also obtained a Masters of Sports Administration degree where I interned with the University of New Mexico Men’s Basketball Team in their operations department. Then I attended the University of New Mexico School of Law where I graduated in the top 15% of my class. I spent six years practicing in Albuquerque before moving to Utah and eventually joining Strong & Hanni. When not working, I love spending time golfing, watching or playing sports, and traveling. Most of all, I enjoy spending time with my amazing wife and our two children.
