Before pursuing a legal degree, Nick had a previous career in law enforcement. During Nick’s nearly seven-year career in law enforcement he gained valuable experience conducting complex investigations and working with people during some of the most stressful experiences of their lives.
Nick used the skills and experiences in law enforcement to help him succeed in Creighton University School of Law’s Accelerated Juris Doctor program, where he completed law school in two years. During law school, Nick focused his education on litigation where he was a member of the Advanced Trial Team participating in arbitration and trial competitions. He graduated summa cum laude with a concentration in litigation. Further, Nick’s focus on litigation allowed him to become a member of the Order of Barristers.
Following law school, Nick had the opportunity to work as a Federal Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Lyle E. Strom in the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska. During his clerkship, Nick gained valuable insight into the innerworkings of a federal district court. He worked on cases including insurance defense, contracts disputes, criminal cases, administrative law review, tort claims, and §1983 cases against government entities.
In 2017, following his clerkship, Nick returned home to Utah. Now with Strong & Hanni, Nick brings his life experiences and skills to the practice of civil litigation. He works with the experienced attorneys of Strong & Hanni handling matters including insurance defense, professional liability defense, construction law, insurance coverage, and tort defense.
