Glen Hanni

Jan. 22, 1923 ~ Dec. 25, 2015
Glenn was born in Moore, Id and passed away from natural causes at his home in SLC , Ut. He was almost 93 years old, found joy in each day and if asked how are you, ” I couldn’t be better! ”
He moved to SLC during his high school years and basically resided there the remainder of his long life. After serving in the U.S. Navy as a pilot, he attended the University of Utah and graduated “Order of the Coif” (number 1 in his class) from the university’s Law School. In 1962 he joined with Gordon Strong and established Strong and Hanni Law Firm. He was named “Utah Trial Attorney of the Year” 2 times, was a member of the American College of Trial Lawyers and was a member of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers. He loved his law practice and always said “if you love what you do , you never work a day in your life.”
February 7, 1945 he married his high school sweetheart Bruhneild Ruth Garrett. Together they had 2 sons, Walter and Karl. In his early years his free time was spent at his beloved cabin at Flaming Gorge with family and friends. They hunted, fished, boated and rode their horses. In later years he joined his sons in the summers – hunting, fishing, and flying to remote locations all over Alaska. He held a pilots license throughout his life. He skied and danced well into his 80’s. He and Bruhneild organized many family vacations allowing them to spend time with their five grandchildren.
He is survived by his son Walter (Susan) Hanni, their children Kara (Finn) Oestgaard and Lacey Hanni; Karl (Lisa) Hanni, their children Katie (Lee) Ensminger, Judd and Jake Hanni.
He is also survived by his siblings Blaine (Darlene) Hanni, Lee (Linda) Hanni and Marylin (Craig) Dilly. Preceded in death by his loving wife of 68 years and his brother Joe.
He was a good man, who lived a full extraordinary life and will be missed by many.
