Shayla joined the Firm in February of 2025 as an Associate Attorney. She is a member of the civil litigation team with a focus on insurance defense. Prior to joining the Firm, she focused her practice on tribal law and federal Indian law. She has over 5 years of experience in providing general legal services for tribal housing authorities and tribal schools. She has advocated for her tribal clients in tribal court and in administrative forums. She has drafted everything from construction contracts, policies and procedures to tribal ordinances. She became certified by the National Institute of Trial Advocacy in 2021 in depositions and litigation skills.
Shayla graduated from the University of Utah in 2013 with her bachelor’s degree in Business Administration. She graduated from the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University in 2020. In her free time, she enjoys spending time exploring Utah and traveling with her son and husband.
