There are very few lawyers who are good enough to do what I do – and only a couple of those lawyers are women. I put deals together. Most of the time those are complex securities matters, but I also do contracts, tax and estate planning, and general commercial transactions. While there are no television shows that focus on the kind of law I practice, it is still dramatic most times. To deal with this I have developed a charming personality that allows me to be both engaging and level-headed at the same time. In the heat of the deal battle there are few who can keep an eye on the prize like I can. To prepare for this line of work I went to the University of Utah and got an undergraduate degree in political science. When there were no political scientist jobs available I returned and got a law degree from the University of Utah as well. While your transaction is incredibly important to me, it is not as important to me as my husband (Aaron) or my two boys (Ethan and Luke).
