Before law school, Nick worked as a police officer for nearly seven years, handling complex investigations and working with people through some of the most stressful experiences of their lives. He then decided to further develop his investigative, negotiation, and advocacy skills by pursuing a law degree with a focus on litigation.
Nick attended Creighton University School of Law where he earned his Juris Doctor in two years. He focused his legal education on trial advocacy through trial competitions on the school’s Advanced Trial Team. He graduated summa cum laude with a concentration in litigation and became a member of the Order of the Barristers.
Following law school, Nick served as a Federal Judicial Law Clerk for the Honorable Lyle E. Strom in the United States District Court for the District of Nebraska. During his clerkship, Nick gained valuable insight into the innerworkings of a federal district court. He worked on cases including insurance defense, contract disputes, criminal cases, administrative law review, various tort claims, and § 1983 claims against government entities.
In 2017, Nick returned home to Utah brining his life experiences and professional experiences to the practice of civil litigation. His practice includes insurance defense, insurance coverage, SIU claim investigations, bad faith defense, professional liability, and Construction law.
