Jade Lumen practices in the areas of insurance defense, government liability, and employment law. Her practice is guided by a risk-focused approach that emphasizes efficiency and results.
Before entering private practice, Ms. Lumen worked as an underwriter at a leading national health insurance company, where she evaluated contractual and financial risk for complex insurance products. That experience gives her an insider’s understanding of how insurers assess exposure and coverage, allowing her to identify issues early and focus on advocacy where it matters most. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Utah’s S.J. Quinney College of Law, where she competed on the Jessup International Moot Court team, with her memorial placing in the top three at the Western Regional Competition. Ms. Lumen was also a research assistant to Paul G. Cassell, former federal judge and a nationally recognized authority on criminal law, constitutional law, and victims’ rights.
Born in Saigon, Vietnam and raised outside Philadelphia, Ms. Lumen brings a global perspective to her practice. She lives in Salt Lake City with her husband, their son, and two miniature dachshunds who are convinced they run the household. Outside the office, she enjoys exploring new restaurants, traveling, following Formula 1, and the mountain community she proudly calls home.
