
Shayla Slaymaker
Associate
Shayla started out her legal experience as an intern focusing on railroad unions and labor relations while in law school. Her accomplishments while at Creighton University School of Law include graduating magna cum laude, placing as a national finalist in the ABA Arbitration Competition, and placing as a quarterfinalist in the Phillip C. Jessop International Law Moot Court Competition. Shayla also became a member of the Order of the Barristers, a member of Alpha Sigma Nu, and was a recipient of the David A. Svoboda Trial Advocacy Award.
Following graduation, Shayla focused her career on internal equal employment opportunity investigations, and upon moving back to Utah, transitioned to government work focusing on anti-discrimination in employment and housing and conducting wage claim hearings.
Shayla brings a depth of knowledge regarding administrative proceedings related to employment and housing discrimination disputes and wage disputes and utilizes a detail-oriented approach with each case she takes on.
