Sid was born and raised in Pocatello, Idaho. Throughout his education, Sid realized two things: he had a talent for writing and a desire to help people. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from Utah State University. After working as a technical writer, Sid decided the best way to use his writing talents to help others was to become a lawyer. Sid promptly moved across the country to attend Penn State Law, where he accepted a full-tuition scholarship.
During law school, Sid was privileged to clerk for a Pennsylvania appellate court judge and a federal district court judge, where he received insight into the judicial decision-making process. Sid improved his advocacy skills working for Penn State Student Legal Services and honed his legal writing skills as a Comment Editor for the Penn State Law Review.
After law school, Sid practiced law in Lancaster, Pennsylvania for two years, where he was exposed to various practice areas. Sid quickly gravitated toward civil litigation matters in his practice where he felt he was using his talents to best help others.
After returning to Utah, Sid spent some time working at a plaintiff’s firm where he helped to secure large verdicts and settlements for injured clients. Now, at Strong & Hanni, Sid’s practice is primarily focused on insurance defense.
When Sid is not assisting clients, you will find him making music, woodworking, and traveling with his wife and three daughters.
