International organization USLAW NETWORK announced Strong & Hanni Summer Associate Isabella Ang as one of its inaugural Law School Diversity Scholarship Program winners. Ms. Ang is a 2L at the Brigham Young University J. Ruben Clark Law School. Prior to entering law school, Ms. Ang majored in writing and rhetoric at the University of Utah where she graduated summa cum laude.
In her first year of law school, Ms. Ang advocated on behalf of marginalized populations both locally and nationally. Among her achievements is her involvement with the Paper Prisons Initiative which is an organization that works to free individuals from the burdens of their past experiences in the criminal justice system to allow access to employment, housing, voting rights, and other key components of American society. In support of her scholarship application Professor Carl Hernandez said, “Isabella’s advocacy skills are excellent. Her academic achievements are evidence of her ability to persuasively write and present her ideas.”
Ms. Ang will travel to Austin, Texas as part of the Fall 2022 USLAW NETWORK conference to accept this prestigious award. Strong & Hanni congratulates Ms. Ang on this well-deserved award!
