Kathleen Abke

Kathleen practices exclusively in the Firm’s Health Care Law Group.  She advises healthcare providers, practice groups and facilities on regulatory compliance including Stark and Anti-Kickback, contracts, government investigations, healthcare transactions, physician contracts, employment issues and litigation matters.

Kathleen has extensive experience litigating complex civil and criminal cases in state and federal court. She has successfully defended physicians throughout the State of Utah against medical malpractice actions. She has also represented physicians in white collar criminal cases and DEA investigations and has a deep knowledge and understanding of the complexities involved in controlled substance prescribing. Kathleen has published articles and given presentations on opioid-related legal issues for practitioners and insurers.
