HISTORY OF THE FIRM
Established in 1888, Strong & Hanni is one of Utah’s most respected and experienced law firms. Gordon Strong joined with Rich and Rich in the 1930s and began building the firm by working as a claims adjuster for State Farm Insurance at night and doing their legal work during the day. Through Gordon’s hard work, he was able to establish the firm’s reputation as a well-respected insurance defense firm. Subsequently, Glenn Hanni partnered with Gordon Strong in 1962. The firm has been known by Strong & Hanni ever since. Glenn was a former Navy pilot during World War II. After Gordon’s untimely passing in 1969, through Glenn’s experience, knowledge, and leadership, as well as that of subsequent firm leaders Strong & Hanni has added multiple practice areas and is now recognized for its business, corporate and commercial litigation, transactional practice as well as for insurance defense litigation. Glenn passed away in 2015 and is greatly missed. His example of hard work, dedication to the client, professionalism, civility, and expertise in the law, has continued in the firm. Strong and Hanni has grown to 70 lawyers and has developed a wide variety of clients in multiple practice areas.
