Health Care Law

Strong & Hanni’s Health Care Practice Group originated from the work of its medical malpractice defense attorneys decades ago.  Those early cases provided the Group’s lawyers a breadth of knowledge on health care topics – from the routine to the extraordinary – involving general health care practitioners and a wide variety of subspecialists.  Whether in the emergency department, surgical suite, or intensive care unit, the Group’s attorneys have continuously represented clients in all aspects of patient care from orthopedic issues of the feet to neurosurgery of the brain, and everything in between.

The Group’s core understanding of medical issues, coupled with its experience representing medical device companies and other companies dealing with regulatory issues, facilitated the Group’s expansion of providing advice to hospitals, clinics, and solo practitioners in a variety of health care compliance issues.  Those issues include patient privacy, professional services agreements, data sharing agreements, professional licensing and credentialing, Anti-Kickback Statute and Stark Law, False Claims Act, ERISA actions, Recovery Audit Contractor (RAC), physician compensation, employment, labor disputes, and many others.

The Group’s clients include non-profit hospital systems, multi-specialty physician groups, physician’s clinics, drug and alcohol treatment facilities, medical device companies, and governmental entities.
